EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Piano teachers should possess a minimum of:
- RCM Grade 8 or contemporary musical educational equivalent
- University degree in music (or other professional training)
- Experience working with young children 1 on 1 and/or in group settings
- 2 years of prior experience working at a reputable music school in Canada is a major asset.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Warm and caring
- Encouraging and gentle
- Experience working with younger children
- Infectious outgoing personality
- Strong English speaking communication skills
- Additional experience working with children (camps, coaching etc) is an asset.
AVAILABILITY
- Our school private lesson hours are: Mondays-Friday from 3pm-8:00pm
- Saturdays from 9:00am-6pm
BONUS
- Preference will be given to applicants who include a cover letter expressing their love for teaching music to young children and indicating their current availability.
Pay is dependent on applicant's experience and education and standard start pay ranges from.
