DuraCast is a leader in the production and supply of pre-cast concrete products for the retaining wall and hardscapes market. To continue our growth and success, the company requires the services of a Loader Operator to assist in moving, handling, and loading of our Redi-Rock, Rosetta and other pre-cast concrete products within our yard at 30 MacDonald Avenue.
The duties of the position will include:
- Operating and maintaining a wheel loader (CAT 908H & 918M or similar)
- Moving finished products out of the building and into designated storage locations within the yard
- Maintaining a clean and tidy yard for operations
- Unloading raw materials used in production
- Loading finished products onto trucks and managing paperwork required for all shipments leaving the yard
- Must be able to learn the various products being produced and sold and be able to distinguish between them to ensure accuracy of products being loaded out of the yard
- Snow clearing of yard as required
- May be asked to assist production team from time to time as required
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes (these are all considered to be an asset, but not required to be considered for the position):
- Experience operating and maintaining wheel loaders.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Safety training and awareness.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
