We are currently looking for a motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) or Kin to join our growing rehab team.
Job Overview
As a Physiotherapy Assistant at Physiomed Vaughan, you will play an important role in supporting our rehab team in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care. You will work closely with practitioners and front-desk staff to help maintain smooth clinic operations and create a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
You will support our rehab team by:
- Assisting physiotherapists and chiropractors in implementing individualized treatment plans, including modalities, exercise programs, and patient support
- Preparing treatment rooms, equipment, and modalities for patient sessions
- Ensuring all equipment and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized between patients
- Guiding and supervising patients during therapeutic exercises as directed by practitioners
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting any concerns to the supervising practitioner
- Assisting with patient mobility, positioning, transfers, and comfort as needed
- Helping patients understand basic home exercise programs under practitioner guidance
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions
- Supporting overall clinic flow and scheduling when needed
- Following all infection control, safety, and clinic protocols
What We’re Looking For
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
- Compassionate, professional, and patient-first mindset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
Education/Training:
- Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant, Kinesiology background, or related healthcare education
- Recent graduates in kinesiology, health sciences, or rehabilitation-related programs are encouraged to apply
- Internationally trained physiotherapists and chiropractors are encouraged to apply. This position provides valuable hands-on clinical exposure and a structured environment to support preparation for Canadian licensing and clinical integration.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
