Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor (Contract-based) to lead our warehouse operations with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily distribution activities, manage a team of warehouse staff, and ensure seamless coordination across supply chain processes. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates, fostering a collaborative environment focused on efficiency and safety.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as SAP or AS400, and other computer software to track inventory levels, process orders, and generate reports.
- Coordinate with logistics providers such as 3PL partners to streamline distribution processes and optimize supply chain flow.
- Implement process improvements aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing errors, and increasing overall operational efficiency.
- Oversee safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits while maintaining meticulous records of all transactions.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French or other languages are a plus.
- Proven experience supervising warehouse teams within manufacturing or e-commerce environments.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like SAP or AS400, and 3PL logistics coordination.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; heavy lifting capability required for handling large or bulky items.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on process improvement and continuous enhancement initiatives.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles, order picking procedures, packaging requirements, and warehouse distribution strategies.
- Competence in using Windows-based computers for data entry, report generation, and process analysis.
- Experience with purchasing processes, inventory control, and e-commerce fulfillment operations.
