The Rouxbarb is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate will have attention to cleanliness, food safety, and supporting the overall hospitality experience. Previous restaurant, kitchen, or hotel experience is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting where being detail oriented and teamwork are valued.
What you'll do:
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and setup
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure proper disposal of waste
- Support the kitchen staff by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly during service hours
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
- Restock supplies in the dishwashing area and assist with general kitchen cleaning duties as required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
What we're looking for:
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues
- Flexibility to work through weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking processes is advantageous but not required
