Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker for our client in Whitby ON.
The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution and a strong understanding of order picking processes.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick orders using RF scanners to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate forklifts (Order Pickers) and pallet jacks.
- Handle heavy lifting and materials with care, adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain organization within the warehouse, ensuring that products are stored correctly.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize order picking processes and improve workflow.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues as needed.
- Assist in shipping & receiving tasks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following established safety protocols.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of Order Picking experience required.
- Must have valid forklift certification.
- Ability to lift heavy items regularly and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of construction practices may be helpful in understanding the products handled.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
