Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and cooking basic dishes
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Serve meals efficiently and courteously to customers or staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality standards are met
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
- Support the overall operation of the kitchen to ensure timely service during busy periods
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward learning new skills
- Basic understanding of serving, food industry practices, and kitchen operations
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
