Duties
- Assist experienced technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles, following detailed schematics and repair manuals
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform maintenance tasks and repairs
- Conduct vehicle inspections, identify mechanical issues, and help implement solutions
- Support in assembling parts, replacing components, and performing routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving parts or equipment during repairs or maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols during all procedures, including welding and the use of power tools
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used, ensuring clear documentation for each job
Skills
- Previous automotive repair experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of automotive systems and schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients when needed
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and troubleshooting methods
- Willingness to learn new skills quickly and adapt to changing tasks within a fast-paced environment
