LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION GRADING FOREMAN (3+ YRS EXP)

We’re hiring an experienced, hands-on Landscape Construction Grading Foreman to lead one of our crews. This role is ideal for someone with a strong landscape construction background, specifically experienced in landscape grading and site layout, who can confidently lead a crew, operate equipment of all types and sizes, and execute projects in the field. Please note that our yard is located in Schomberg (Hwy 9 & 27).
About the Role
As a Foreman, you’ll oversee daily site operations and lead a crew on a variety of landscape construction projects including:
- Subdivision landscape construction
- Commercial landscape installations
- Select residential landscape projects
You’ll work closely with the project management team to coordinate materials, maintain equipment, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a landscape construction crew
- Read and follow blueprints, specifications, grades, and site layout
- Operate all types of landscape construction equipment, from the smallest machines to the largest heavy equipment
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused culture
- Communicate effectively with project managers and team members

What We’re Looking For (required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a landscape construction foreman
- Minimum 3 years of experience grading and site layout
- Significant experience operating all types and sizes of equipment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
- Solid understanding of landscape construction techniques and equipment operation
- Commitment to health and safety best practices
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced environment
- Valid G driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
- Reliable transportation to our shop in Schomberg (Hwy 9 & 27)
Assets (not required)
- Proficiency with GPS grading technology
- First aid certification
- Equipment training
- Safety training or other construction-related certifications
Schedule
- Approximately 50-60 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
