Manager Business Resiliency and Continuity

The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

Business Overview
The Manager, Business Resiliency & Continuity leads Fidelity Canada’s enterprise business continuity and operational resilience capabilities. This role is responsible for ensuring that critical business services, processes, and functions can continue to operate and recover effectively during disruptions, including technology failures and cyber events.
The role partners closely with business units define critical services, conduct business impact analyses, and establish continuity strategies, while coordinating enterprise crisis management and recovery planning. It works in close alignment with Technology Resiliency, Cyber & Resilience Office, and Risk functions to ensure a cohesive and effective end-to-end resilience posture.
What You Will Do

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and develop the team; act as the primary contact for business continuity and resilience; build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Resilience Strategy: Establish and evolve the business continuity and operational resilience framework; establish standards for continuity planning, crisis management, and service recovery aligned with regulatory expectations.

Business Impact Analysis (BIA): Implement recovery strategy, testing plans and BIAs to identify critical services, dependencies, and recovery priorities; maintain accurate documentation of processes and recovery objectives.

Continuity Planning & Recovery: Oversee development of actionable and tested continuity plans; ensure alignment with technology capabilities and address preparedness gaps.

Crisis Management: Lead enterprise crisis response, command and control actives, coordination; establish clear roles, command and control protocols, and alignment with cyber and technology incident management.

Testing & Readiness: Design and execute simulation exercises (including cyber scenarios); validate readiness, track outcomes, and drive remediation actions.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards; maintain audit readiness and monitor resilience maturity across the organization.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Align business recovery priorities with technology recovery capabilities; collaborate with Technology, Risk, Cyber, and Architecture teams to ensure an integrated resilience approach.
What You Will Bring

Minimum 7+ years of experience in business continuity, operational resilience, disaster recovery or related risk management discipline, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role

Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Strong experience in business continuity planning and operational resilience frameworks

Proven experience conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and process mapping

Experience leading crisis management and continuity exercises

Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills across business and technology teams

Ability to translate complex operational risks into structured plans and actions

Experience working in cross-functional, regulated environments
Nice to Have:
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries

Familiarity with OSFI expectations (e.g., B-10, B-13)

Experience with cyber incident response coordination

Exposure to enterprise risk management frameworks

Certifications in business continuity, risk, or resilience (e.g., CBCP, MBCI)

Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual range of 146,000 to 176,000 based on your experience and qualifications.
