Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration systems. This role requires a solid understanding of HVAC systems, schematics, and appliance repair. The Refrigeration Technician will work on various projects, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose issues with refrigeration units and develop effective solutions.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Install new refrigeration units and HVAC systems according to specifications.
- Build and plumb refrigeration lines as required for installation or repair.
- Weld components as necessary to ensure secure connections within refrigeration systems.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
- On-call rotation (weekends, holidays and nights)
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Experience with appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Proficient in welding techniques related to refrigeration work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Certification in refrigeration is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- HVAC: 2 years (preferred)
Language:
Licence/Certification:
- Licensed 313A Refrigeration Technician (preferred)
- G2 Gas License (preferred)
