Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assign daily tasks to a team.
- Demonstrates and complies with all government legislation and company policies & procedures.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Participates in all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to commencing any job.
- Perform general labour tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving material and equipment.
- Assist with other departments’ needs such as maintenance.
- Operate and maintain basic hand and power tools safely.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Some experience in the mechanical field is considered an asset.
- Ontario’s driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Must be able to pass all required training, background check, and drug & alcohol testing.
- Safety-focused attitude with experience working in an industrial setting.
- Sound problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Some experience in the logistics field would be an asset.
- Willingness to work in various outdoor environments.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time).
