Construction Site Superintendent (Contract Position)
Our client is looking for a Construction Site Superintendent to oversee industrial and commercial construction projects on a contract basis. This position plays a critical role in managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with project stakeholders to maintain schedules, coordinate site resources, and uphold quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily construction site activities from project startup through completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to ensure efficient workflow and project progress.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules to support successful execution.
- Monitor project timelines and proactively address scheduling or operational challenges.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe work environment and promote adherence to occupational health and safety standards.
- Track site progress and prepare daily reports, site records, and project documentation.
- Identify deficiencies and oversee corrective actions to ensure project quality expectations are met.
- Collaborate with project management, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve site-related issues.
- Ensure job sites remain organized, professional, and operationally efficient throughout construction.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a Site Superintendent, Foreman, or construction leadership role.
- Experience managing industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Knowledge of Alberta occupational health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic construction reporting tools.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
