Position: Pet Care Associate
Location: Milton, ON
About the Role:
As a Pet Care Associate, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of our marine life. Whether you're caring for fish, coral, or invertebrates, you'll help ensure they thrive in a clean, healthy environment. From cleaning tanks and feeding livestock to packing orders and handling shipments, every day brings something new.
Don’t worry if you’re new to the industry — we’re looking for an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide all the training you need!
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for and maintain the health of marine life (fish, coral, and invertebrates).
- Clean and maintain holding tanks, ensuring optimal water chemistry.
- Learn to identify species and understand their specific care requirements.
- Unpack shipments and pack orders for shipping.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Lift and move 50lb boxes as part of your daily tasks.
- Deliver orders across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) using our company vehicle.
- Pick up shipments from the airport as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- A great attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (50lbs).
- A clean driving record and confidence driving larger vehicles, such as our company Bubble van.
- Team player who can also work independently when required.
- Flexibility to adapt to emergencies or schedule changes involving live animals.
Schedule:
- Full-time, with two day off per week (Saturday and the other day to be discussed).
- Sunday: 6pm-10pm (1x per month)
- Monday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Tuesday: 1PM - 9 PM
- Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Please note: Two night/Late Afternoon shifts (Sunday and Tuesday) are non-negotiable.
- There is a bonus for working night shifts
