We are seeking a Superintendent required for a role with a developer/builder in Vancouver with previous experience managing high rise projects in the Lower Mainland. This role would be well suited for someone with previous experience managing concrete new builds with underground parkades, and ability to lead teams and proven experience managing projects from start to completion with other general contractors or developers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with Project Manager and regularly communicate updates such as field reports, safety inspections, staffing requirements and schedule updates;
- Oversee subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work;
- Ensure sufficient staffing is provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives;
- Identify and advise of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues;
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices to ensure scopes, terms and conditions are properly executed;
- Supervise and direct trades and labourers through regular instruction, communication feedback;
- Support CSO and head office in ensuring all employees, subcontractors and contractors are adhering to the safety policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years experience with concrete high rise projects in Vancouver.
- Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings.
- Ability to read all disciplines construction drawings, plans and blueprints
