Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pre-Sales Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in the data security, passwordless, and identity access management (IAM) field. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, understand their requirements, and provide tailored solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our organization in delivering innovative security solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with prospective clients to understand their unique business needs, challenges, and security requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on data security, passwordless authentication, and identity access management solutions.
- Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our products.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop comprehensive proposals and solutions that address client requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle, including product evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and implementation planning.
- Assist in responding to technical inquiries, RFPs, and RFIs in a timely and accurate manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including IT professionals, security architects, and C-level executives.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to effectively position our solutions in the market.
- Assist in the development of sales collateral, technical documentation, and training materials for internal teams and customers.
- Act as a liaison between the sales, product, and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and requirements effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or solutions consulting role, preferably in the data security, passwordless authentication, or IAM domain.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including access control, authentication protocols, encryption, and identity management.
- Hands-on experience with relevant technologies such as identity providers (IdPs), single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), and identity federation.
- Proficiency in presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Preferably experienced in solutions selling.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are a plus.
