Established GTA-based custom cabinetry and architectural millwork manufacturer is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Estimator who understands the realities of manufacturing, construction, and profitable bidding within the GTA market.
This role is ideal for someone who understands both:
- custom luxury millwork for homes and condominiums
- multi-unit / high-rise suite matrix estimating
The successful candidate will play a critical role in pricing strategy, tendering, quantity takeoffs, budgeting, vendor coordination, and helping scale our estimating department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and profitable estimates for:
- custom residential cabinetry
- condominium millwork packages
- high-rise multi-unit projects
- commercial millwork packages
- Perform complete quantity takeoffs from architectural, ID, and shop drawings
- Review specifications, tender documents, addenda, and construction details
- Build and maintain detailed costing databases
- Understand current GTA market pricing for:
- cabinetry
- hardware
- laminates
- veneers
- countertops
- labor and installation
- Work closely with:
- production
- drafting
- purchasing
- project management
- Analyze project risk, scope gaps, and labor requirements
- Coordinate supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Assist with suite matrices and repeatable multi-unit pricing structures
- Help improve and standardize estimating systems and processes
- Participate in turnover meetings after project award
- Review change orders and revisions throughout project lifecycle
QualificationsRequired:
- Minimum 5 years experience in cabinetry and architectural millwork estimating
- Strong understanding of GTA cabinetry and millwork market pricing
- Experience estimating:
- multi-unit residential developments
- custom homes
- luxury condominiums
- Ability to read and interpret:
- architectural drawings
- reflected ceiling plans
- millwork details
- specifications
- Strong understanding of:
- materials
- hardware
- manufacturing processes
- installation methods
- Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred:
- Experience with:
- Cabinet Vision
- Bluebeam
- AutoCAD
- Excel
- On-Screen Takeoff
- Procore
- Previous experience working directly within a millwork manufacturing environment
- PM and field coordination experience considered a strong asset

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
