Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Desk Clerk to join our team. The order desk is responsible for professional front-end customer service interactions and detail-oriented order processing. Working with measurements, this position is the “first line of defense” when it comes to accuracy. This is especially important in the fast-paced environment that must be managed strategically and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls from Distributers / Customers
- Enter customer purchase orders into a database from email.
- Maintain customer order confirmation approvals
- Work with General Manager on day to day order operations
- Order office supplies as needed
- Ship sample packages and small orders via Canada Post, Purolator, FedEx
- Maintain working spreadsheets for order tracking
- Enter crate costs into database
- Enter postage costs into database (Canada Post)
- Process promotional sample orders and hand in to marketing manager
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in general computer applications (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Basic knowledge of products and installation of products
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
