Office and Payroll Administrator

Compensation: $20.00-$40.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Szott Ventures Ltd is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive professional to join our team as an Office and Payroll Administrator. This key role supports smooth daily operations across administration, payroll, invoicing, employee support, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is reliable and capable of managing varied responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer invoicing accurately and on time.
- Manage payroll using PowerPay, including year-end reporting
- Perform general office administration, including scanning, filing, organizing paperwork, data entry and tracking, and maintaining records.
- Report directly to and work closely with Operations Manager to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Respond to emails and client inquiries professionally and provide clients with appropriate documentation, use ComplyWorks to maintain compliance requirements.
- Create, implement, and maintain safety and compliance programs, including but not limited to OHSE, NSC Carrier Safety and Maintenance Program, and any other related policies/programs.
- Plan and support monthly safety meetings and employee training.
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding, and maintaining up to date employee, vehicle, and trailer files.
Qualifications
- Experience in office administration, payroll, invoicing, data entry, and safety or compliance-related work is strongly preferred.
- Computer proficient and well-versed using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional, reliable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to learn; training will be provided to the right candidate.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation is required for commute to and from office.
