Position Summary
The FM HUB Team Lead provides day-to-day leadership, coordination, and oversight of the Financial Management HUB (FM HUB) program, supporting effective service delivery, participant intake, and financial empowerment services.
Reporting to the Director, Financial Empowerment, the role supervises and mentors team members while maintaining a small participant caseload and ensuring services are delivered using person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented practices. Through a strengths-based and relationship-focused approach, the FM HUB Team Lead fosters a collaborative team environment, promotes consistent service standards, and supports participants in achieving greater financial and housing stability.
Schedule

Monday to Friday; 8:00AM – 4:30PM

Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, coaching, and support to FM HUB employees to ensure effective and consistent service delivery.

Coordinate and oversee operational workflows, staffing capacity, workload distribution, and daily service delivery activities.

Lead and manage participant referrals, intake processes, eligibility assessments, and onboarding activities.

Ensure intake, financial administration, and coaching services are delivered in alignment with program criteria, funder requirements, and organizational policies.

Monitor service quality, operational performance, compliance, and participant outcomes, implementing improvements as needed.

Respond to operational issues, safety concerns, critical incidents, and emerging risks while supporting staff through de-escalation and follow-up processes.

Maintain accurate documentation, records, reporting, and data quality to support accountability, compliance, and program evaluation.

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, referral sources, funders, and internal programs to strengthen service coordination.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying service gaps, operational trends, and opportunities to enhance participant access and outcomes.

Contribute to team development, operational planning, and the implementation of trauma-informed, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented practices across the program.
Education
-
Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or a related field
Certification
-
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle

Proof of vehicle insurance (min. $2 million liability), registration and 3-year drivers abstract.

Training in Standard First Aid and CPR, Suicide Intervention, Mental Health First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, De-escalation, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Cultural Awareness is recommended.

Training or certification in financial management services, accounting, or a related field is considered an asset.
Experience
-
3+ years of experience in case management, financial empowerment, community support services, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in team leadership, supervision, and service coordination.

Strong knowledge of intake processes, financial literacy, benefits navigation, and person-centered, strengths-based practices.

Experience supporting marginalized populations, including individuals facing financial instability, homelessness, and complex barriers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and database systems; experience or training in financial management or accounting is considered an asset.
