Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Glass Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves installing, replacing, and repairing auto glass with precision and care to ensure safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience working with automotive glass, possess mechanical aptitude, and be comfortable using various hand and power tools. Duties
- Remove damaged or broken auto glass safely and efficiently
- Install new windshields and auto glass using specialized tools and adhesives
- Ensure proper fitment and sealing of all glass components to prevent leaks or wind noise
- Perform inspections to verify the integrity and safety of installed glass
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete installations accurately
- Assist with vehicle preparation, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service procedures and timelines
Experience
- Prior dealership experience or automotive repair background is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and repairs
- Experience handling hand tools, power tools, and automotive glass installation equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely, including auto glass components
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Prior mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific tasks
Pay: $20.00-$34.00 per hour
