Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Supervisor who is certified as a journeyman plumber to lead our manufacturing operations. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production teams focused on plumbing and HVAC assembly processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards by conducting regular inspections and audits of work-in-progress and finished products.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage procurement, inventory levels, and material flow using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing best practices for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and addressing hazards promptly.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of plumbing including installation and assembly processes.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure products meet building codes and specifications.
- Ability to lead teams effectively, motivate staff, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to identify issues quickly and implement solutions efficiently.
