Summary
The Class 1 /3 Truck Driver is responsible for transporting a variety of materials, parts, and finished products. Some use delivery trucks or vans, and other use large commercial vehicles with trailers, tow trucks, dump trucks or other types of equipment. Truck Drivers must drive safely, keep their attention on the road and ensure that their cargo reaches its destination. They can adapt to changes quickly, but professional, work independently, and navigate unfamiliar areas. The core mandate of the Class 1/3 Truck Drive is to ensure the safe operation of vehicles and the safe delivery of products.

Job Duties
- Loading and unloading cargo on flat deck trailers
- Completing a daily truck log and submitting mileage reports
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting on any problems
- Complying with company and government regulations and rules
- Securing cargo and dealing with hazardous materials safely as needed
- Communicating with dispatchers and other drivers using onboard radios or computers
- Initiate cost savings measures where possible
- Previous equipment hauling is an asset
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- Valid Class 1/3 drivers license with Air Brake Endorsements
- Minimum 5 years over the road experience
- Load Securement; proper use of chains and strapping
- Logbooks/hours of Service.
- Transportation of dangerous goods
- Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
Working Conditions
- Often work long hours primarily behind the wheel
- Often deiffuclt weather, traffic and road conditions
- Varied schedule depending on workload
- Appropriate Safety PPE required: teel toes work books, safety glasses, vest
- Overtime as required
Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour
