Rocket Creative AI is looking for a driven, detail-obsessed Video Editor to join our growing media team in Whistler.
We’re a fast-moving creative and digital communications company producing video content for public companies. Our work includes short-form social videos, investor-facing content, ads, interviews, cinematic brand pieces, explainers, and campaign content designed to capture attention and drive results.
This is not a slow corporate editing job. You’ll work directly under our Creative Director, Arran, helping build the media engine inside Rocket Creative AI as the company grows.
We want someone who cares about storytelling, pacing, message, detail, and impact - someone who wants to grow with an ambitious company and become a key part of a high-performing creative team.
We’re looking for someone who loves the craft: finding the best moments, building rhythm, shaping a story, making a message land, and caring about the tiny details that separate average edits from those that move the market.
We ski, bike, chase good days outside, and understand why people choose to live here, so we aim to offer more flexibility than a typical in-town job wherever the work allows. That said, some client deadlines are real and occasionally urgent. The right person will understand both sides: take the flexibility when it’s there, and show up when the work matters.
The Role
You’ll edit a wide range of content, including:
- Short-form social videos
- Founder and executive interviews
- Investor-facing videos
- Cinematic brand pieces
- Ads and promotional videos
- Explainers and campaign content
A major part of the role will be finding the strongest moments inside longer footage, interviews, speeches, and transcripts — then turning them into sharp, polished edits that are clear, engaging, and commercially effective.
You’ll also be responsible for captions, graphics, music, sound design, basic motion graphics, platform formatting, feedback management, and maintaining high standards across spelling, grammar, pacing, exports, and final delivery.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you have around 3+ years of editing experience and a portfolio that shows strong short-form, cinematic work, high-volume content delivery, or commercially-minded storytelling.
This role is suited to someone who understands that editing is not just making something look good. It is about shaping the message, controlling attention, and cutting content in a way that makes the strongest possible impact.
You should be confident using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Frame.io, and Google Drive. Experience with motion graphics, color grading, audio cleanup, captions, AI tools, or social-first workflows is a bonus.

Compensation
Starting point: $30/hour, with room to grow based on ability, reliability, ownership, and the value you bring to the team.
