Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations to ensure the delivery of high-quality meals. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to food safety and cleanliness is essential. The Kitchen Helper/Cook will support the kitchen staff in maintaining efficient workflow and uphold our standards for excellent food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Cook and prepare meals according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers or dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations in accordance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures are followed
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely meal service
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
- Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
- Food industry or restaurant experience is a plus but not essential for entry-level applicants
Pay: $18.15-$19.22 per hour
