Position: Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner
Location: North Bay, ON
Status: Permanent full-time (36 hrs/week)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, every other Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Prime Health Clinic, owned and operated by a Nurse Practitioner, provides comprehensive primary health care across the lifespan from pregnancy, infancy, and older age. We offer various health services, including chronic health issues, episodic appointments and completion of medical forms.
Who We Are Looking For?
We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and energetic Nurse Practitioner who thrives on challenges, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about providing excellent patient care. The Nurse Practitioner will experience full autonomy in the role, supported by a reliable and knowledgeable administration, nursing, and reception team. We are looking for an experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner capable of managing 15-20 patients per day, with appointments scheduled for either 15 or 30 minutes based on patient needs. Additionally, we welcome eager new graduates seeking mentorship opportunities for growth and confidence-building. Independent contractors are also encouraged to apply.

Who should apply?
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class (RN-EC)
- A master’s degree in nursing or a related field, considered an asset
- Two to three years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner, considered an asset
- Experience providing primary care services in one or more of the following areas: chronic disease management, mental health and addictions, dermatology, women’s health and men’s health

What will your typical day look like?
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to clients of all ages, including primary prevention, health education, comprehensive physical exams, chronic disease management, antenatal care, and acute/episodic visits
- Practice to the standards of the College of Nurses
- Review client laboratory results, procedure reports and consultation notes
- Arrange appropriate follow up/referrals as required
- Document all client contact and ensure all client information is kept confidential at all times
- Maintain close collaborative working relationships with other allied health professionals
- Work in collaboration with other health professionals (specialists, nursing)
- Consult with specialists as needed regarding issues that are outside the scope of practice
