Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Retail Assistant Manager to join our vibrant retail team. Responsibilities
- Oversee store operations, including sales management, merchandising, and inventory control to meet business goals.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to build a skilled and diverse workforce.
- Handle payroll, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accurate financial transactions.
- Implement pricing strategies, purchasing decisions, and stock replenishment to optimize inventory levels.
- Supervise shift management, scheduling, and ensure compliance with store policies and safety regulations.
- Utilize strong communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams for effective merchandising and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain organized records of sales data, inventory levels, and financial reports while managing budgets efficiently.
- Foster a positive store environment through excellent phone etiquette, customer service excellence, and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, sales management, inventory management, and merchandising principles.
- Excellent leadership abilities with skills in team management, training & development, and employee supervision.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and budgeting.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control and store presentation.
