Compensation: Based on experience, modality proficiency, and compensation structure
Location: Whitby (Durham Region)
Job Type: Part-time, Long-term Growth, and/or Casual
The "Why" [Read First]:
We are a diagnostic centre owned and operated by Sonographers. We know exactly what it takes to scan a 35 BMI aorta, tortuous carotid arterial, or a challenging venous reflux, because we do it too. We built this facility to be the place we always wanted to work:
- The Tech: You will be scanning on brand new 2025 Hospital-Grade Samsung V8 machines. No lag, crystal clear resolution, & advanced ergonomics. Paired with comfortable, ergonomic chairs & adjustable beds.
- The Culture: We protect our team environment fiercely. We are professional, ethical, and enthusiastically collaborative. We believe energy is contagious; we hire for integrity and optimism even more than we hire for hands-on skill.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are hiring for Character + Competence.
1. The "Ideal" Senior Candidate:
- Clinical Mastery: You are confident in All Vascular and are extremely effecient while capturing the beauty of Duplex imaging.
- Autonomy: You take pride in your images. You don't cut corners. You treat the license as a badge of honour. Your patients experience their best possible health care and patient care. Every time.
2. The "High-Potential" New Sonographer/Graduate:
- Local & Loyal: You live in the Durham Region and are looking for a long-term clinical home, not just a stepping stone.
- The Best Training: Because we are sonographers, we offer elite, hands-on mentorship that corporate clinics cannot match. We will invest in you if you invest in us.
The "Non-Negotiables" (Our Values)
- Honesty: We own our mistakes and we fix them. Transparency is key.
- Focus: When we are here, we are 100% present for the patient and the team.
- Teamwork: We wipe down our equipment. We help with the laundry. We take a patient phone call when admin is over-loaded. No task is "beneath" us when it helps the team flow.
Core Duties
- Execute High-Quality Scans: Perform diagnostic exams with clinical precision.
- Analyze & Flag: Identify potential pathologies and collaborate with our radiologists for accurate, timely reporting.
- Equipment Stewardship: Maintain our Samsung V8s and detectors with care (including strict sanitization and debris prevention).
- Patient Experience: Explain procedures with warmth and professionalism. You are the face of the clinic's integrity.
Requirements
- Certification: Active CMRITO Registration & Sonography Canada Credentials.
- Vascular US Competnecy: Our clininc is NOT a vascular lab. We do complete all general, MSK, & OB assessments, but we are looking to add on a dedicated Vascular Technolgist (at least a 75% vascular day worklist).
- Skills (Required): Professionalism. Integrity. Honesty. Enthusiasm. Strong command of medical terminology, anatomy, and physics.
- Soft Skills: A genuine desire to learn and a real "can-do" attitude.
