About the Role
The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics (AME-E) performs aircraft maintenance, repairs, and overhaul applicable to their trade while completing all associated documentation in accordance with industry standards and company procedures. The successful candidate will also assist in coaching and mentoring junior technicians.
This position belongs to the bargaining unit and is governed by the applicable Collective Agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform aircraft maintenance, repairs, modifications, inspections, and troubleshooting in accordance with:
- Transport Canada Regulations (CARs)
- Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM)
- Quality Control Procedures (QCP)
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Company Process Standards (CPS)
- Complete all maintenance documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Ensure all work complies with approved quality standards and certification requirements.
- Coach and mentor junior technicians.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, security, and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering approved by Transport Canada or the applicable governing authority.
Experience
- Minimum 48 months of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer experience.
Core Skills
- Strong avionics maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience maintaining, repairing, or modifying aircraft avionics systems and components.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures.
- Safe work practices and teamwork.
Compensation & Benefits
- $33.98 – $46.07 per hour
