Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous chef or Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety and preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of food service and hygiene.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling of all food products.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up stations and cleaning up after service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong cooking skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
