Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mobile Fleet Coordinator to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of our fleet of vehicles. This role involves coordinating with various teams to ensure fleet efficiency and safety, managing maintenance schedules, and supporting the overall logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with hand tools and power tools to perform routine inspections and minor repairs. Duties
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance and repairs for the fleet of vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform minor repairs, adjustments, or part replacements as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and vehicle histories.
- Collaborate with external vendors or repair shops for specialized services or major repairs.
- Assist in planning vehicle usage schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies regarding fleet operations.
- Monitor vehicle condition through regular assessments and recommend replacements or upgrades when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on vehicles or machinery.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and management.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving commercial or fleet vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Prior experience in fleet management or vehicle maintenance is preferred but not required. This role is vital for maintaining a reliable fleet that supports our operational needs while ensuring safety and efficiency across all vehicle-related activities.
Pay: From $49,508.56 per year
