About the Role
As a Business Analyst – Financial Systems, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation and optimization of financial and ERP solutions for our clients, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role sits at the intersection of finance, business processes, and technology. You will act as a trusted partner to clients, working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, analyzing business processes, and providing thoughtful guidance on how to translate those needs into effective system solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of building out our practice area, shaping how we deliver financial systems solutions, and making a meaningful impact on our clients’ success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct business process analysis and requirements gathering sessions with clients to understand their finance workflows and business needs.
- Document business and functional requirements, including process flows, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Translate business and financial requirements into solution designs and configurations.
- Support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with a focus on finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to ensure solutions align with business requirements.
- Support system testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), validation, and issue resolution.
- Provide guidance and support to clients, including training and post-implementation assistance.
- Develop and maintain documentation, and contribute to best practices, templates, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with ERP or financial systems in a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Systems Analyst capacity.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
- Proven experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Experience working with both business stakeholders and technical teams in a collaborative and client-facing environment.
- Experience with or exposure to Dynamics 365 Business Central (or certifications like MB-800) is a major asset, but a strong background in similar mid-market/enterprise ERPs is welcome.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
