Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate to join our team. This role involves delivering goods to various locations, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of freight. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for local deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and organize freight within the warehouse using forklifts and other heavy equipment
- Inspect vehicles and equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Manage inventory by accurately tracking shipments, supplies, and freight movements
- Assist with warehouse maintenance, including cleaning, organizing, and minor repairs such as automotive repairs when necessary
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move large or bulky items efficiently
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or freight handling preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair or basic vehicle maintenance is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in a warehouse setting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks as required
- Prior experience in freight delivery or warehouse operations is advantageous
