Clinic Assistant
Overview
We're looking for a motivated, reliable Clinic Assistant to support our practice team in delivering excellent patient care. You'll work alongside an experienced registered nurse and practice facilitator, helping support the care provided by Dr. Lin-Pepe, Dr. Pepe, and Dr. Gurland.
This is a hands-on, learn-on-the-job role. No prior clinical experience is required — what matters most is attitude. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys being part of a team, and can also work independently: once shown how to do something, you can carry it out reliably over the long term without needing frequent reminders or retraining. This is a great entry point for someone wanting to build a career in healthcare.
What you'll do
To start, the role focuses on practical day-to-day support, including:
- Greeting patients and helping create a welcoming environment
- Portering patients to and from examination rooms
- Measuring and recording basic vital signs such as height and weight
- Managing laundry and helping keep clinic areas clean and well-stocked
- Preparing examination rooms between patients
As you grow into the role, we'll expand your responsibilities to include tasks such as calling patients to arrange and confirm appointments, along with other administrative support.
What we're looking for

- Reliability — the ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently over time
- A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and a warm, compassionate manner with patients
- Organized, with attention to detail in a busy environment
- Basic computer skills (for scheduling and records); training provided
- Prior clinical, hospital, or care experience is a bonus but not required
Pay: $21.00 per hour
