Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role is ideal for those passionate about assisting others with daily living activities, offering personalized care, and improving quality of life. The position involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, ensuring they receive respectful and attentive care in a comfortable environment.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration and reminders as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Support patients with mobility challenges through safe lifting and transfer techniques
- Offer companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote mental well-being
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare providers or family members
- Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, hospice support, or working with individuals with disabilities
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient care, senior care, dementia care, and hospice care is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in caregiving roles is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for mobility assistance or transfers
- Strong communication skills and compassionate nature
- Certification in caregiving or CPR is advantageous but not required; training may be provided
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed
