The successful candidate will work as part of the Corporate Development team, under the direction of the Head of Corporate Development as well as with other members of the CMG leadership to assess and execute on different inorganic initiatives.
Business Development:
- Research industries and markets to identify acquisition targets, leveraging databases, industry reports, and outbound outreach.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified M&A opportunities, using CRM and market intelligence tools.
- Develop strong relationships with business owners, executives, investors, and advisors to expand our deal flow network.
- Initiate conversations with prospective companies, communicate our value proposition, and assess initial strategic fit.
- Work closely with the corporate development team and senior leadership to qualify leads and prioritize opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to increase visibility and sourcing reach.
Technical M&A Work:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation assessments for potential acquisitions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate the technical feasibility and integration requirements of potential acquisitions.
Investment Memo Expertise:
- Demonstrate expertise in building and articulating investment memos that effectively communicate complex financial and technical information to stakeholders.
- Craft compelling narratives outlining the strategic rationale, risks, and opportunities associated with proposed transactions.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to gather pertinent information for the creation of investment memos.
