Job Summary
Coastal Trademark Services is seeking an experienced Class 1 Licensed Canadian Trademark Agent to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work on a diverse range of trademark matters in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
The Role
In this role, you will work directly with clients to provide strategic advice and implement tailored trademark protection strategies. Your practice will span a broad range of trademark matters, including clearance searches, Canadian and international filings and examination, as well as opposition and cancellation matters.
You will have the opportunity to build client relationships and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, and prosecute trademark applications in Canada and internationally
- Review and analyze trademark search results and provide risk assessments and strategic recommendations
- Manage trademark portfolios, including renewals, oppositions, and enforcement matters
- Handle opposition and cancellation proceedings, including preparing evidence, drafting pleadings, attending oral hearings, and managing deadlines
- Coordinate with foreign associates on international trademark matters
- Communicate with clients, external counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate the registration processes
Requirements
- Class 1 Licensed Canadian Trademark Agent in good standing
- Approximately five or more years of relevant experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience with opposition and cancellation proceedings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: $95,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
