Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Coordinator / Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical knowledge of construction processes, and proficiency with industry-standard software. This role involves coordinating teams, managing schedules, and ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines. Candidates should have a solid understanding of construction documentation, schematics, and estimating processes to effectively facilitate project execution and communication across stakeholders.
Duties
- Develop and manage project schedules using construction management software to ensure timely completion
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to facilitate accurate project planning and execution
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to align project objectives and deliverables
- Utilize Bluebeam for document review, markup, and collaboration on construction drawings and plans
- Prepare detailed construction estimates utilizing estimating tools to establish budgets and resource allocations
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits, meetings, and reporting to ensure adherence to schedules and specifications
- Implement construction management best practices focusing on safety, quality control, and efficiency
- Track project costs, timelines, and resource utilization to optimize performance
Experience
- Proven experience in construction project management or coordination roles within the civil or heavy infrastructure sectors
- Proficiency with construction management software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and quality assurance protocols
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining clear communication among all stakeholders
- Prior experience in civil engineering or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications or training in project management are advantageous
