Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Boiler Technician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of boiler systems to ensure safe and efficient operation within our manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong mechanical background, proficiency with various tools and welding techniques, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. The Boiler Technician plays a critical role in maintaining operational safety standards and supporting continuous production processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on boiler systems to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical / electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints for installation and repair tasks
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement devices to carry out maintenance work
- Assist with rigging, plumbing, and mechanical repairs related to boiler systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during all maintenance operations
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to support manufacturing operations
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to boiler systems, HVAC principles, plumbing, and rigging
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
- Experience with hand tools, calipers, and basic math calculations for precise measurements
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and construction practices related to industrial equipment
- Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues in boiler systems
- Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing complex mechanical issues
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures

Pay: $42.00-$64.00 per hour
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Gas Fitter: 3 years (required)
- Boiler: 3 years (required)
- High/low pressure steam: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Gas Fitter License (required)
