Firefly Digital Marketing is a growing agency focused on helping local service businesses improve their online presence through SEO-driven content and website optimization. We are in the early stages of building something long-term and are looking for someone who wants to grow with us.
We are hiring a UX / Web Designer to help improve the way users interact with our websites and landing pages, and to build those pages directly in WordPress using Elementor. This role is ideal for someone who is thoughtful, detail-oriented, and interested in creating simple, effective user experiences that support real business goals.
What You’ll Do
- Design user-friendly website and landing page layouts with a focus on clarity and conversions.
- Build and format pages in WordPress using Elementor, based on provided content and wireframes.
- Review sites and pages for usability issues and suggest practical improvements.
- Ensure pages are responsive and look good on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Collaborate with writers, SEO specialists, and the project manager to align design with content and strategy.
- Maintain consistency in styles, spacing, headings, and overall visual hierarchy across client sites.
- Implement simple UX best practices (clear calls to action, readable typography, sensible layout and flow).
What We’re Looking For
- Experience designing or building websites, landing pages, or marketing pages.
- Hands-on experience using Elementor (or a similar WordPress page builder) to create and format pages.
- Strong understanding of layout, spacing, and basic UX principles (how real users move through a page).
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment and managing your own tasks.
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal) and openness to feedback.
- Background in UX, web design, graphic design, marketing, or a related area is an asset.
- Interest in SEO, content marketing, or digital strategy is a plus
Experience in a formal UX title is not required. We are more interested in candidates who have demonstrated design thinking, initiative, and the ability to create practical, user-friendly pages that work for both users and the business.
