Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Casual Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital, acute care, or senior care environments, with a strong background in patient-centered nursing practices. Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in hospital, outpatient, or home settings, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document clinical observations using electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Assist with laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Provide specialized care for pediatric, senior, dementia, or chronic disease patients as required.
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication use, and post-discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standards.
- Support patient mobility and activities of daily living in assisted living or nursing home environments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and nursing best practices.
- Experience in hospital acute care, pain management, case management, pediatrics, or senior/dementia care is highly desirable.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to diverse populations including children and elderly patients.
- Laboratory experience including phlebotomy is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication within multidisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to various clinical environments such as home health or assisted living facilities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient safety protocols.
