Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, handling customer transactions, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced food industry environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with food handling, cash handling, and POS systems, along with strong customer service skills. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate cash and card transactions
- Handle cash register operations with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving and food handling
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Uphold food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred, along with serving and food preparation skills
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in the food industry is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
