PACKAGER/KITCHEN HELPER
Forno Cultura, an artisanal bakery in Toronto, is looking for a dedicated Packager and Kitchen Helper to join our pastry production team. This role involves assisting in the packaging of baked goods and supporting the kitchen in various tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging:
- Carefully package pastries and other baked goods following product guidelines to maintain quality and freshness.
- Label and organize packaged items for delivery or display.
- Ensure packaging materials are adequately stocked and organized.
- Kitchen Assistance:
- Assist pastry chefs with basic kitchen prep work such as measuring ingredients, portioning dough, and organizing tools.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and tools.
- Assist with washing dishes, trays, and utensils when needed.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect packaged items to ensure they meet Forno Cultura’s quality standards.
- Report any inconsistencies or product defects to the team lead.
- Inventory & Supplies:
- Assist with tracking inventory levels for packaging supplies and kitchen ingredients.
- Alert the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
- Health & Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring proper handling and storage of food products.
- Keep work areas clean and sanitized according to food safety standards.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
