J Basra Trucklines Inc. is seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher / Customer Service Representative to join our operations team. This role is responsible for coordinating freight movements, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring loads are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, and is capable of managing multiple shipments simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch & Operations
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for pickups and deliveries across Canada and the United States.
- Monitor truck locations and shipment progress to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance.
- Communicate load details, route instructions, and appointment times to drivers.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays, issues, or service disruptions.
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure equipment availability.
Customer Service
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding shipment updates and inquiries.
- Provide accurate ETAs and proactive status updates.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve service issues professionally.
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers, shippers, and receivers.
Administrative & Systems
- Enter and manage load information in the TMS system (such as dispatch, pickups, deliveries, and status updates).
- Ensure shipment documentation is accurate and complete.
- Track delivery confirmations and update shipment statuses.
- Assist with reporting, load tracking, and operational documentation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in transportation dispatch or logistics coordination preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with TMS systems, email, and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of trucking operations, routes, and driver hours-of-service is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay: $40,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
