Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and safety of our building infrastructure, equipment, and systems. This role requires a versatile professional with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks, capable of supervising maintenance activities and contributing to a safe, efficient work environment.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support manufacturing processes.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance history.
- ideally troubleshooting floor scrubber repairs, carpet machines, propane buffers, truck mount carpet machines
- Assist in facilities upgrades, renovations, or installations to improve operational efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client requests promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical systems and components.
- Skilled in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices and safety protocols.
- Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team collaboration.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
