We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for welcoming them warmly and ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit. This role is essential in maintaining a smooth flow of service and enhancing the overall dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive and escort them to their tables, ensuring a warm welcome.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand.
- Assist guests with inquiries, providing information about the menu and restaurant services.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or answering questions as needed.
- Address guest concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and guest inquiries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others and delivering outstanding guest services.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
