Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness
- Load and unload cargo with care, often requiring heavy lifting to secure items properly in the truck
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records for accountability
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Assist with vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy trucks or commercial vehicles in a professional setting
- Must have oilfield experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of loading or unloading cargo
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record preferred
- Knowledge of transportation laws, safety standards, and route planning techniques
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with team members and clients
