We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of our food service environment. Your responsibilities will include customer interaction, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties
- Past experience in a Private Club environment
- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Operate point-of-sale (Jonas POS) systems for efficient order processing and cashiering.
- Prepare and serve beverage items according to established recipes and standards.
- Upsell additional items or specials to increase sales
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with their orders and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including dining spaces, kitchen equipment, and utensils.
- Replenishing all beverage stations and work stations
- Adhere to food handling safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of all customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Manage time effectively to complete tasks promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- This position serves as a liaison between the client and the kitchen. The servers responsibility is to provide excellent service to our guests, and to ensure that the food and beverage is delivered in a professional and timely manner.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred.
- Past experience in a Private Club environment
- Smart Serve Certification required
- Familiarity with cashiering systems and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
- Effective time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well within a team or independently
- Must be friendly, a team player, high-energy, detail oriented, and focused on exceptional service
- Basic food knowledge
- General knowledge of wines, beers and spirits
- Punctual and reliable
- Must be able to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work full time until December inclusive
- Knowledge of food handling practices is a plus, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
