Menya Kouji Group is seeking a part-time Kitchen Helper for the ramen restaurant who can communicate in English and Japanese (asset). If you are energetic, motivated, and confident in your physical strength, we encourage you to apply!
This is a part -time position (20-30h/week) including weekends and holidays. Work hour is shift based between 8am - 11pm.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean kitchen area
- Cook broth with special house recipe
- Prepare and cook individual ramen noodles and other Japanese side dishes
- Maintain daily inventory
- Store ingredients and food items according to food safety standards
Skills:
- A valid Food Safe Level 1 certificate is an asset
- Languages: Proficient in English; Japanese language skills are an asset
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing approximately 20–30 kg
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Work Experience:
- Experience as a cook or a Kitchen hand is an asset
- Experience / knowledge in Japanese cuisine is an asset
