Moon Lake Golf and Country Club is located on Valley Road, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep/Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensuring that ingredients are ready for cooking and service. This role is essential in maintaining efficient kitchen operations and delivering high-quality meals to our guests. Duties
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring as per recipes and standards
- Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to established procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including food prep areas and storage spaces
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of ingredients
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks
- Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or as a line cook is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of serving, food handling, and food safety standards is advantageous
- Restaurant or kitchen experience within the food industry is a plus
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward learning new skills
